I have always been drawn to structure.
Originally trained in Architecture (BA Hons), I developed an interest in how environments are organised, how people move through them and how thoughtful design can shape experience without drawing attention to itself. Over time, that interest shifted toward digital environments, where clarity, accessibility and structure are just as essential.
My early experimentation with web design evolved into a deeper technical focus. Rather than relying solely on tools, I became interested in how systems function beneath the surface. That curiosity developed into full-stack web development and long-term platform stewardship.
Since 2019, I have led the development and technical management of the digital estate at Kent Students’ Union (KSU). The role has expanded significantly over time and now includes responsibility for multiple branded websites, bespoke internal platforms, hosting infrastructure, analytics implementation and accessibility governance. I design and build custom solutions where operational gaps exist, translating organisational needs into stable, maintainable systems.
Accessibility is embedded in my approach. I believe inclusive design is fundamental to good digital practice. For several consecutive years, I have independently audited and published accessibility reviews of KSU’s primary website to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
Alongside development, I maintain a strong interest in design and photography. Both disciplines reinforce an appreciation for hierarchy, proportion and detail, qualities that inform every digital project I undertake.
I value stability, thoughtful decision-making and building systems that last. My work is driven less by novelty and more by clarity, reliability and measurable impact.
